Abstract

Humour is a complex reality but, despite its ambivalence and ambiguity, it can be a valid strategy for certain communicative goals. This is what happens with informative parody. It linked to current news. This represents the serious by presence or by absence or evocation, whereas informative parody becomes events, figures, speeches, news in target of the humor. This paper analyzes the context of the Spanish media, and the discursive and linguistic mechanisms or procedures of parody humor as strategies to capture the TV audience. Discursive procedures concern the statement and the act of communication. Linguistic procedures are verbal mechanisms which are at the service of the humorous utterance.
