Abstract

The Fourth Invective of Poggio Bracciolini (c.1452) against Lorenzo Valla besides having, as it has, the typical characteristics of the genre of Invective, such as vituperatio, is also a humanist Satire in which Poggio holds his opponent to ridicule both in a personal and in a literary.
