Las Geórgicas como modelo genérico en la literatura española

Abstract

In this paper we will analyze the generic configuration according to the latin didactic poem Georgics by Virgil of two different Spanish poems: the Poema de la Pintura de Pablo de Céspedes (1649) y La Música de Tomás de Iriarte (1780). Both poems observe the main characteristics of the didactic classic poem that are: proemium presenting the subject teached, allusions to the reader or pupil in order to involve him in the poem, praise of the supporter and numerous digressions to amuse the teaching. This generis topics are taken from the virgilian didactic poem.
