Abstract

Analysis of speech made by Alfonso de Cartagena, Propositio super Altercatione Praeminentiae, in which the bishop of Burgos, according to authoritative sources and quotations, makes an impassioned defense of Spain in order to show the pre-eminence of the Spanish kingdom upon the England one.
