Literary Topics Related to Building Activity in Venantius Fortunatus' Carmina
Abstract
The construction or renovation of Christian buildings is a recurrent literary theme in the carmina miscellanea of Venantius Fortunatus, following the discourse of the building epigram. This work offers the study of recurring literary topics associated with the result of the reconstruction: the renovation of old age in relation to the churches and celebrity in relation to the promoters of such works.
