Abstract

Sallust’s "Bellum Iugurthinum" is a significant intertext of "Glaxo", an Argentine novel by Hernán Ronsino. One of the novel’s main characters has obsessively read that Roman historical monograph, to the point that it has conditioned his perception of reality and his memories. This article will study the importance of Sallust’s text as a constitutive element in the diegesis of "Glaxo".
