Classical sources in the "De Preconiis Hispanie" of Gil de Zamora
Abstract
This work continues previous works in which we undertook the identification of Latin sources of De Preconiis, by Juan Gil de Zamora. The work begins with XI and XII Books devoted toMilitary Strategies. In those days, the comparison of the texts allowed us to prove that some of the statements of the editor, M. de Castro (1955), were erroneous. Furthermore, we proved that the study of the sources of De Preconiis entailed necessarily the detailed analysis of the same. The identification of the sources will come in useful, as we did with XI and XII Books, to correct a lot of readings edited by Castro.Downloads
