"Drawing the gaze": Reflections on the supervision of students in traineeship of the UCM Master’s Degree on Art Therapy

Abstract

Supervision groups during the training period to become art therapist, are stablished as a secure and reliable environment in which it is posible to listen,analyze, and to shape an art therapeutic regard, formed while the traineeshipin different contexts, in which theory and praxis combine to comply the discipline of Art therapy. Based on the experience of the supervisors, in colaboration with the Master´s Degree in Art therapy and art education to promote social inclusion, some methodological lines and conclusions are deduced which allow us to stablish different fases in the path of the supervised student. The seek and development of an own theapeutic position in their practice, may result as the strenthening of the professional identity.
