Calderón and the drama crisis in the early 20th century
Abstract
This paper aims to report on the reception of Calderón de la Barca’s theatre in the context of creative drama crisis during the first quarter of the 20th century, a period in which the repertoire of this Golden Age playwright, become an identity icon for the Bourbon Restauration, went into crisis.
