Enhancing Educational Growth Through Social Neuroscience: E-Learning as a Safe Platform for ASD Students

Resumen
El brote de la pandemia de COVID-19 causó interrupciones significativas en las metodologías educativas convencionales, resultando en una rápida transición hacia el aprendizaje en línea y remoto. Este cambio presentó obstáculos notables, especialmente para los estudiantes con necesidades específicas, como el trastorno del espectro autista (TEA). Este análisis teórico actual explora el potencial del aprendizaje electrónico como una herramienta para facilitar el avance académico de los estudiantes con TEA desde la perspectiva de la neurociencia social. Los estudios en neurociencia social enfatizan las profundas consecuencias de la soledad social en el bienestar mental y la salud emocional. Los períodos prolongados de distanciamiento social y la ausencia de interacciones en persona pueden tener efectos adversos en el crecimiento cognitivo y el rendimiento académico. No obstante, el ámbito digital podría brindar beneficios distintos para los estudiantes con TEA, quienes a menudo enfrentan dificultades en la interacción social y la gestión emocional dentro de los entornos de clase tradicionales. La evaluación profundiza en las deficiencias socio-cognitivas vinculadas al TEA y cómo el aprendizaje en línea podría complementar las necesidades educativas de estos estudiantes. A pesar de los hallazgos contradictorios sobre la efectividad de la educación en línea para el TEA, esta revisión propone que un enfoque adaptable y personalizado, ajustado a las necesidades individuales, podría mejorar las perspectivas de aprendizaje. En última instancia, la incorporación de principios de la neurociencia social en las metodologías educativas podría facilitar el establecimiento de un ambiente de aprendizaje más integral y solidario para todos los estudiantes, incluidos aquellos con necesidades específicas.
