Los Códices Matritenses de fray Bernardino de Sahagún: estudio codicológico del manuscrito de la Real Academia de la Historia
Abstract
Among the documents written by fray Bernardino de Sahagún, the Codices Matritenses are one of the most important sources, because they are considered as the oldest version of the Historia General de las Cosas de la Nueva España; for this reason they have received further attention from researchers interested in both the work of Sahagún as the Mesoamerican codices. This paper shows that these manuscripts have not yet been analyzed completely satisfactory, especially under the perspective of codicology, from which we intend to undertake in-depth study of the Codices Matritenses, and content. We focus now on only one of the two manuscripts included under this description: the Manuscrito de la Biblioteca de la Real Academia de la Historia.Downloads
