Las Huacas de Chañar Yaco: importancia y significado de su revisión
Abstract
In this work we analyze funerary items recovered by Lafone Quevedo in 1891, from the Chañar Yaco archaeological site (Belén-Andalgalá Department border, Catamarca Province, Argentina), currently belonging to the collections that founded the Museum of La Plata. The funerary objects taken into consideration display local as well as regional and incaic traits; analyzed taking the regional processes that characterized the incaic domination period into account, they allow us to make several interpretations regarding its social complexity.Downloads
