Abstract
This paper present the information about several rock art sites in the central region of the Sierras de Córdoba (Argentina). The analysis of the evidence allows to give greater antiquity to the practice of painted or engraved motifs. Moreover it shows the heterogeneity in the social life of the groups that occupied, built and meant different landscapes. In this sense, our study supports a different view to the traditional proposal that considered a homogeneous identity for Prehispanic groups in the region.Downloads
