Abstract

Bearing in mind the worldwide crisis regarding food, the climate, energy and finance, plus the increase in the world hunger, several social movements have united to fight for the food sovereignty, for life and for rural agriculture. Women, as subjects that play a fundamental role in agrarian activity, have declared, in the Women's Declaration on Food Sovereignty, Nyéléni, Mali, 2007, that they intend to link their fight for sustainability with the recognition of their rights.
