Abstract
This paper looks at the effect on women in developing countries that recent protagonism in fighting against capitalist companies is having. An increasing number of corporations are seeking to exploit the natural resources that these women and their rural communities depend on. By presenting a few scenarios of their struggle I will try to show that, the loss of status and power and that these women are suffering due to these processes are, at the same time, a starting point to build new ways of empowering them, making them visible and their voices been heard.Downloads
