Abstract

The nurse performs a physically, psychologically and emotionally demanding job because she is in close contact with the particular situations experienced by the different patients under her care. He performs tasks before his employer subject to different physical, biological and ergonomic risks. He endures stressful situations that can trigger health problems, from mild to serious, affecting his being and his family environment. When diagnosed with a chronic disease, she must carry out her treatment and at the same time must continue working, cancer being one of them. This disease is mostly irreversible and very few people have managed to survive. However, the nurse must continue in her source of employment as long as she can. There are laws in favor of the worker in their occupational health, but most nurses are not protected because the law is not followed in the Bolivian health context. The paradigm applied in this reflection article is the critical partner. The conclusions; Nursing staff must be cared for, they must take care of themselves and enjoy good health, for this support from the authorities is needed.
