Mª José Tacoronte Domínguez, graduated in Philosophy from the University of La Laguna. Master in Philosophy, Culture and Society; Expert in gender and equality policies. And PhD in Philosophy at the same university.

 She is currently a contract professor of interim work in the area of ​​Logic and Philosophy of Science, Department of History and Philosophy of Science, Education and Language. She teaches the subject of Feminist Epistemology in the university master's degree in gender studies, as well as teaching in the degree of philosophy. He has also been a teacher in the area of ​​Theory and History of education at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of La Laguna. Where she has taught Educational Policy and Legislation, Comparative Education and several practicum in the grades of  Faculty of Education. In addition, with teaching in the master's degree in the subject of Society, Family and Education Relations.

Her lines of research have focused on the philosophy of science, feminist epistemology, political and gender studies in the scientific field, the history of science and the history of education. She has been a researcher in several national projects, currently participating in the project: The border between science and politics and science at the border: Spanish science 1907-1975. FFI2015-64529-P, funded by the Government of Spain. She has carried out different research stays at the University of Hull (Yorkshire, UK), and she has worked on the European Project, ALFA III funds, Measures for Social Inclusion and Equity in Latin America (MISEAL).
