Abstract

This article describes the discursive proposal of Nido Parlante web platform about motherhood and the social role of woman mother, with the aim of analyzing whether the discursive characteristics of the platform promote a discourse and an imaginary alternative to traditional and hegemonic motherhood. For this, all the discursive fragments were selected from the file pages and a method of simple discourse analysis, proposed by Siegfried Jäger, was applied. The results of the analysis were compared, mainly, with the theoretical proposal of Adrienne Rich on the dichotomy between motherhood as an institution and as experience, the non-places by Marc Augè that conceives digital media as places open to the possibility of new relationships and meanings and with the mediation proposal by Jesús Martín Barbero, that defines media as interactive spaces of signification. The analysis revealed that Nido Parlante consolidates a disruptive discourse that questions the traditional role of mothers, the domestic and the private as excluding categories and conceives women mother as protagonists in the productive and artistic level, traditionally occupied by men. However, it is also possible to identify reproductions of the social order in the re-signification of the motherhood discourse, which raises the question of whether re-elaboration is possible only for a departed group of women with access to the media and from a specific social context.
