Exclusion, democratic deepening and intersectionality
Abstract
This text addresses one of the problems that has the fact of designing strategies of democratic deepening with a liberal market logic: the naturalization of exclusion in democratization. To reveal the exclusion process, and advance in the thought and practice of the inclusive democratic innovation the text proposes an interpretive frame based on the solidary dialogue between the notions of field, habitus and matrix of domination. The article explains the way in which the epistemology of Black feminism through reflections on the intersectionality of Patricia Hill Collins, and Pierre Bourdieu’s field notion applied to participation allow access to forms of domination and resistance in democratization.
