Abstract

Wine production and its origin values give territories a great opportunity of differentiation in a context of high competition among geographical spaces. In Catalonia, the county of Priorat and its identitary relationship with wine Protected Denomination Origin PDO Priorat and PDO Montsant has represented and example of local development and geographical positioning of this region of Tarragona. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the process of economical revitalization and identity projection of Priorat through both wine PDOs.
