Abstract

Almost eighty years after the establishment of the international structure raised after the end of the Second World War, the intensification of regional conflicts in critical places from a geopolit-ical point of view, today appears more than ever as a threat to life. The war that is brewing today in Ukrainian territory, unleashed by the incessant harassment of the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) against Russia, is part of what have been called proxy wars or wars for hire inserted in the growing strategic irrationality of the risky US force diplo-macy to confront its increasingly pronounced hegemonic decline. The opening of war fronts, in territories such as Ukraine or Palestine, which are nothing more than parallel fronts of a single global war, not only increases the probability of terminal devastation, due to the irrational and omnicidal search for nuclear supremacy as a fundamental part of the American “grand strategy”, but they are developing in the midst of a capitalogenic climate collapse that has left clear evi-dence that the planet does not have enough atmosphere to deal with the disastrous consequences of capitalism as a social system.
