Commentary. Manuel Quintín Lame: Colombian Indigenous Leader and In-tellectual of the 20th Century
Abstract
Based on his writings, collected in the books In defense of my race and The Indian who descended from the mountain to the valley of civilization, this article presents an approach to the political thought of Quintín Lame and the characteristics of the Indigenous resistance movement that he led in central and southern Colombia during the second half of the 20th century, known as the “Quintiada”.
