Bronze Tongues, Bird Tongues: The Life in Verses of Violeta Parra and María Carta from a queer transcultural perspective
Abstract
This research aims to propose an archaeology of affections through the autobiographical poetry collections Décimas. Autobiography in Verses by Violeta Parra and Canto Rituale by María Carta. Through narratological analysis and the lived experiences of the authors, the study explores transcultural identity and collective memory as instruments of self-representation from a queer perspective of the author.
By reconstructing the biographies of both creators, the research draws a connection between Sardinia and Chile based on the development of class consciousness and the self-determination of peoples, understood as axes of poetic resistance and creation. It is an autoethnographic exercise based on a cartography of affects.
