Aspectos representativos en el ceremonial de unas exequias reales (a. 1504-1 516). Representative aspects of Royal Funeral Ceremonies (c. 1504-1516)
Abstract
An account of the funeral honors carried out in Flanders to commemorate prince John (1497), Isabella the Catholic (1504), Philip I (1507) and Ferdinand the Catholic (1516). The source is a manuscript of protocols from a king of arms, where they are described the solemn ceremonies followed, with a richness of detail regarding the representation of power in courtly funeral mourning. Particular attention to ephemeral constructions, symbolic elements, and time rites followed on each occasion.Downloads
