Abstract

This article can be regarded as a cultural history study. It is aimed at interpreting the crimes of fornication between members of religious minorities and Christian women as set out in the seventh part of the Siete Partidas (the Seven-Part Code) based on the legal and symbolic framework containing them. In order to do this, we make use of contributions from various branches of social sciences that may shed light on the issue
