Abstract

This paper aims to give a general presentation of Emperor Frederick II and his policy of knowledge and diffusion of Arabic and Hebrew studies in Europe in the 13th century. To accomplish this task, he founded the University of Naples and surrounded himself with intellectuals who were knowledgeable about Arab and Hebrew philosophy and science.
