Diplomatic Collection of the Monastery of Santa Clara de Alcocer in the Middle Ages
Part VI (1501-1527)
Abstract
With this and last installment we complete the systematic edition of the documentation related to the Clariso Monastery of Alcocer as we have been publishing it in the pages of this magazine since its first issue. Although chronologically the documents published in this installment exceed the conventional limits that historiography currently assigns to the Middle Ages, we have found it interesting to include them as a culmination of the current serial publication, focused on the medieval documentation of said monastery, as they help to complete and to better understand not a few details, themes and problems whose treatment and evolution can be followed in the documentation presented in the previous installments of this documentary collection, until completing a whole closed at the time on which we now direct our attention. Everything related to document numbering, transcription and presentation criteria, and other technical details of the publication follow what was established in the first installment, as has been observed in successive ones.
