Printed Sources and Historiography in the Coria’s Bishopric and Diocese in Middle Ages

Keywords: Sources, Historiography, Coria, Middle Ages, Bishopric, Diocese, History of the Church

Abstract

The Coria’s bishopric and diocese has traditionally been a religious area without any connection with relevant political areas in Middle Age Castille. The different studies associated to sources, bishops, and the cannonry and diocese organization are far away in time between each other. The present synthesis tries to show a global idea about the actual situation of investigations, adding publications related with the history of the city and its surroundings, just like its most relevant personalities during Middle Ages, to give a general idea about investigations connected with Coria in the context of History of the Church in Extremadura.
