Predicados ligeros y valoración de rasgos
Abstract
This paper explores the notion of light predicate, which has been used by linguistic theory to discuss phenomena that belong to the lexical semantics domain. This work has three goals: review what kind of grammatical categories (V, N, Adj, etc.) have been argued to involve lexical (de)composition, reflect on the alleged ‘semantic weakness’ of so-called light predicates, and put forth a formal account (based on Chomsky’s Agree mechanism) of why these elements must combine with others.Downloads
