Non-adapted an adapted Anglicisms in the Diccionario del léxico juvenil en España (2023)
Abstract
This paper analyzes the non-adapted and adapted Anglicisms of the recently published Diccionario de léxico juvenil de España (2023), by María Luisa Regueiro Rodríguez. This work includes more than 3,000 words, of which 7% are Anglicisms, not counting derivatives, abbreviations and locutions. Most of them appear for the first time in a lexicographic repertory. The group of non-adapted loans far exceeds (90%) that of adapted loans; this not only reflects a high degree of familiarity of young people with English, but the analysis of the semantic fields to which they belong simultaneously reveals interests and attitudes of this age group. The analysis of adapted Anglicisms covers orthographic aspects, presence of doublets and semantic fields. Finally, this study refers to numerous questions related to the microstructure of lexicographic articles.
