There have been many who, encouraged by the Horace’s well known words ut pictura poesis, initiated a comparison between painting and poetry. In order to do this, we will analyze the different ways in which the image has been built in painting and poetry to lead us to this notion of displacement. We will begin with some previous examples to reach and focus on Twentieth century, where the variety of the proposals got highly increased and enriched in both mediums.Downloads
