Fuente de la Mota, Iberian Fair of Barchín del Hoyo and historical recreations of the Iberian period in Spain
Abstract
In this paper I present the main characteristics of the Iberian oppidum of Fuente de la Mota, its historiography (documentary and archaeological), visitable remains, legal protection and ownership, as well as the current dissemination of the site. The City Council of Barchín del Hoyo and the Cultural Association Amigos Iberos Fuente de la Mota articulate it especially with the Iberian Fair of Barchín del Hoyo whose main activity is the historical recreation. The article frames this initiative with other similar Spanish initiatives focused on the Iberian Culture.
