Abstract
This article describes the presentation of Manuel de Falla’s La vida breve in Russia.The correspondence between Falla and Alexeev is used to show how the premiere was prepared and reviews published in Russian periodicals of the time reflect the work’s reception and repercussion on the country’s cultural life.
