Abstract

This paper focuses on the important role played by communication and information in negotiation processes, especially in an international frame of reference, in which today’s needs and circumstances demand an alternative model of conflict resolution. The author gives us a wide description of the influence of professional perspectives of news production in negotiation processes, whose complexity of structure and strategies are badly treated by news media. Peace is not a newsworthiness criteria and the cover of negotiation processes is not privileged by information and communication organizations.
