Abstract

The story world of The Muppets, whose origins date back more than half a century, has been inexorably expanding until today, when it stands as a transmedia storytelling engaging his followers through its different products and, more importantly, providing a more complete and satisfying experience as they access to more of the pieces that make up this great fictional puzzle. Paying close attention to the TV series Muppet Babies, this article seeks to clarify the essential role often played by the hybridization of film genres, as well as of television and radio formats, in the construction of this kind of narratives.
