El soldado. Vivir en campaña
Abstract
The soldier's daily life on campaign, far from battles and heroic deeds, is usually an ignored issue in the studies on the Peninsular War. Based on original documents from the 4th Division (2nd Army), this paper examines the soldiers situation as regards their weapons, their uniforms and equipment, their supplies, needs and lacks and the condition of the different available elements. The same information are also provided in relation to the companies’ military household items and the soldier's daily routine.Downloads
