A postcard ‘Vixen: gender discourses in relation to the Zorra phenomenon and its media coverage in Spanish morning infotainment
Abstract
The article aims to analyze the journalistic and opinative discourse enacted in Spanish morning formats after the proclamation of the song Zorra by Nebulosa as RTVE's entry for Eurovision 2024. The study observes the TV shows Vamos a Ver and Espejo Público the week after the final of the Benidorm Fest, to detect gender discourses and the positioning of feminism about the song. For the most part, arguments against the song were detected, and only part of the feminist collective was covered.
