Equality promotion of sportswomen and mass media
Abstract
In sport area, the gender gap is very marked as a consequence of different factors. This work describes the situation in fact, using data and analyzes the treatment of sportswomen in the media, concluding that they are underrepresented, both from a quantitative and qualitative point of view. The applicable legal instruments are also studied, to conclude that these can be effective, despite the fact that the modification of the current Sports Law, which must necessarily be done from a gender perspective, is highly recommended and urgent.
