Los versos mnemotécnicos en los tratados de ortografía latina de la Baja Edad Media
Abstract
The mnemonic verses, as important in the didactic of the Latin orthography as peculiar of the medieval period, marked a clear difference with regard to the structure of the orthographic treatises of previous periods. These verses circulated anonymous and independently from the texts. In unpublished works located in Spanish libraries (Colombina de Sevilla and real Biblioteca del Escorial) among which we highlight De orthographia of Parisius de altedo, we have found clear examples of the use of these type of verses in order to memorize the orthographic rules previously contended in prose, as well as some anonymous fragments titled Versus ortographye.Downloads
