El proemio de la Farsalia de Lucano y su recepción
Abstract
This paper will examine the use of the proem of the Bellum ciuile, especially of its seven first lines, in the successors of the hispanic poet, the Flavian epicists, in order to define, through its reception, the acceptance of Lucan’s poem inside the epic genre, and the (re-)reading of the Lucan’s work made by his successors. the proems, given its peculiar characteristics and its essential functions, constitute an exceptional point to observe it, since they are a very suited place to show, indirectly, the dialogue and the polemic on the literary genre. Second, in accord to the results obtained, we will be in disposition to add one more argument on the proemial character and on the auhtenticity of those controversial lines.Downloads
