Irony in the task of interiority: Kierkegaard, critic of Frühromantik
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to offer a dialogue between some of the most representative texts of the Frühromantik and the writings of Kierkegaard which, confronted with each other along the same thematic axis, will allow us to review how both proposals were critical of modern thought. Thus, by focusing on the question of irony, we will try to show the authors' determination to resist the dominance of the speculative philosophical system, to which they themselves contrasted the need to carry out the task of interiority, by virtue of which subjectivity would fully develop. However, we start from a Kierkegaardian perspective from which we recognise the failure of early Romanticism to accomplish this task, and indeed, throughout the research we will study the differences in conception that we find in this respect between the German movement and the Danish conception.Downloads
