Orteguian ideas for a philosophy of the present [José Luis Villacañas. Ortega y Gasset. Una experiencia filosófica española. Madrid
Abstract
This critical note analyses the book by José Luis Villacañas Ortega y Gasset. Una experiencia filosófica española from the perspective of the theoretical contributions that Ortega y Gasset's thought could contain for our contemporary philosophy. In this context, two fundamental philosophical tasks are identified. Firstly, the development of a thought that is in a position to go beyond Husserl and Heidegger. Secondly, the need to deploy a theory of life commensurate with the complexity of our contemporary world.
