María Zambrano and Gregorio Marañón in the Spanish Civil War (Microstory of a minimal episode)
Abstract
Study of the relationship between María Zambrano and Gregorio Marañón on the occasion of the latter's 1937 trip to South America. The context is that of the Spanish Civil War and the positioning of the intellectuals against it. The "exit" of Marañón and the intellectual action of both in the axis of the conflict between the categories of "two Spains " and "third Spain" are analyzed. Hermeneutic study of the "Letter to Dr. Marañón", by Zambrano, and of the articles and lectures of Marañón during the trip in the context of the propaganda of the Spanish War.
