Social Ideas: an approach to Marxism in Difference and Repetition
Abstract
Are there social ideas in a Marxist sense? The question introduced by Deleuze implies thinking the economic from a structural logic animated by an epistemology of problems. In this article we propose to analyze the passage on social Ideas in the fourth chapter of Difference and Repetition. We will see how the conditions of a structure are fulfilled in the marxist perspective on the social: the presence of indeterminate elements, the determination exercised on the basis of their reciprocal relations, and the actualization in qualitative and quantitative terms and relations. In order to carry out the exegesis of these concepts we make use of direct and indirect references to Pour Marx and Lire Le Capital, classic works of Althusserianism.
