Time in Bergson
Abstract
Although Bergson himself claimed that he had not always handled the same notion of time in each of his works, in this article I intend to reconstruct Bergson's philosophy of time and try to show that there is a unitary conception of durée, although from different perspectives. A close examination of some key passages of his works shows us that in Bergson there is a progressive deepening of the notion of time, which begins with duration in consciousness and culminates in the time of the universe. In this way, Bergson does not psychologize time, but rather "temporalizes" the world and consciousness.
