Edith Stein: A Theory Of The Communicability Of Artwork
Abstract
This article aims to identify the basis of the communicability theory of Artwork which can be extracted from the writings of Edith Stein. After presenting empathy issue and the anthropological base which affects both the subjects and objects in the art world, alongside the possible difficulties with the transmission of said artistic message, this article delves into the implications of considering arts as an object and a subject of empathy and the communication system which can be established in the world of art.
