Art and Art critic in the first centennial of Peninsular war
Abstract
Analysis of the art critic in 1908, around the inauguration of commemorative monuments, tablets and exhibitions in Spain. We highlight for their importance: Historical exhibition of the Centennial in Madrid; Monuments to the heroes of May” “2 in Madrid and Segovia; Monument to the heroes from Tarragona of 1808 of Julio Antonio; Commemorative tablets in Madrid of the “geste”; Centennial of Espronceda and Maeztu; The “question” Zuloaga, with Eduardo’s sonnets Marquina; Monument to the places of Zaragoza; Statue to Castelar; Patriotic Exhibition of Zaragoza. For everything we qualify it this “First Centennial” as a “paideia” intent, or education in the ideals of Spain.Downloads
