Abstract

The National Museum of Pottery in Valencia has a collection of twelve fragments of coptic textiles. This paper studies the textiles with the help of the analysis of rawmaterials, textile weaving andC14 datation. The results of theses analysis are related with the textile’s function and decorative and symbolic aspects.
