Abstract
The analysis of the four proposals presented to Isabel II by Giraud Daguillon allow for comprehension of the contradictions inherent in the construction of the city in 19th-century Madrid. The coincidences and divergences from Enlightenment urbanism and with Castro’s expansion are here studied in depth.Downloads
