All the works with themes from Cervantes shown at the 17 National Exhibitions of Fine Arts held in Spain during the 19th century, reflect the profound relationship between painting and literature. Moreover, they demonstrate the romantic interest awakened by the author of Don Quijote: his life, fortunes and misfortunes are endlessly intertwined with his literary characters.Downloads
